Mark Phillips
Mark began his career at ActionAid, later becoming Head of Fundraising at YMCA England before founding Bluefrog in 1997. He is widely recognised as the UK’s leading advocate for the Donor Needs approach to fundraising.
Through engaging with hundreds of donors each year, Bluefrog gains valuable insights into their evolving needs, which the agency uses to enhance the fundraising strategies, programmes and creative output of some of the world’s most successful charities and fundraising organisations.
Mark is also the creator and author of queerideas.co.uk. He has a particular interest in legacies, mid-value giving and stewardship, alongside other areas of individual giving. He has led projects for many prominent UK and international charities and is a regular speaker at conferences such as IFC, CIOF, AFP, and CASE. Mark holds an MSc in Management Science.
